Asset Homes Hosts 33rd Beyond Square Feet Lecture on World Water Day

In a meaningful commemoration of World Water Day, World Habitat Day, and World Environment Day, Asset Homes organised the 33rd edition of its flagship “Beyond Square Feet" lecture series, an initiative that goes beyond real estate to engage with pressing social and environmental concerns. The event was presided over by Akashavani Thiruvananthapuram Retired Dy. Director Mr. Sreekumar Muzhathala, who delivered an insightful and thought-provoking address on the global water crisis.

Speaking at the event, the author Mr. Sreekumar Muzhathala highlighted that water and natural resources are things we tend to remember only when scarcity and environmental breakdown strike. He drew attention to the alarming water situations faced by countries such as the United States and Israel, and noted that Iran once a land of abundant water resources is today grappling with a severe crisis, having previously witnessed mass refugee movements driven in part by water scarcity. He stressed that the need for additional water storage and conservation has never been more urgent.

Mr. Sreekumar Muzhathala also underlined the deep connection between forest conservation and water security, stating that protecting forests is not merely about preserving biodiversity, it is directly tied to sustaining water resources for future generations. Asset Homes founder and Managing Director Mr. V. Sunil Kumar, addressing the gathering, spoke passionately about ensuring safe and accessible drinking water for all 750 crore people on earth. He reaffirmed that water conservation is not an external obligation for Asset Homes but a core value embedded in the company’s foundation and philosophy. The event concluded with a shared reminder that water is the essence of all life, for trees, birds, animals, and human beings alike, and that every individual bears the responsibility of protecting this precious resource for generations to come.
